FERGUSON, Marjorie Elizabeth Jane (nee Hogg)

Died peacefully on Friday January 17, 2025 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood in her 94^th year.  Marjorie, beloved wife of the late Jim (2018).  Loving mother of Brian, Ken (Cheryl) and Rosemarie (Ed Parrish).  Cherished grandmother of Kendra (Dustin Greaves), Sara, Kyle (Chelcy), Kent (Alicia), Amy (Paul Lachowich) and the late Dylan.  Great-grandmother of Keira, Kaladin, Kaylee, Kinsleigh, Kayden, Kennedy, Eli, Josh and Jacob.  Marjorie is predeceased by her sister Helen Cullen. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.  She was a kindhearted woman who cherished her family and her community.  Marjorie would lend a hand wherever and whenever it was needed, whether that be the fields, the barn, the church or the GNE, of which she was a longtime volunteer.  She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and creating quilts and other handcrafts, many of which are cherished family heirlooms.  She will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Friday January 24, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  The Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church,  3521 County Road 124, Nottawa on Saturday January 25, 2025 at 11 o’clock.  Reception to follow in the church hall.  Spring interment at Trinity United Church.  If desired, a donation to the Collingwood Agricultural Society or the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by Marjorie’s family.
