FIGUEREDO, Gladys Modesta (nee Benito)

Died peacefully at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Wednesday February 12, 2025 at the age of 83.  Gladys of Wasaga Beach beloved wife of Domingo for almost 62 years.  Loving mother of Veronica (Frank Comazzolo) and Sergio (Jennifer Ibarra). Cherished Abuela of Valentina, Victoria, Claudia, Marcia (Trevor) and Robert (Katelyn) and doting Tota of Mia, Remy and Theo.  Dear sister of Cristina, Marta and the late Mirta. Gladys and Domingo came to Canada from Montevideo, Uruguay.  As a teacher in her native Uruguay, she taught braille for 24 years. Upon moving to Wasaga Beach, they enjoyed summers by their pool and returned to Montevideo for the winter months.  Gladys cherished her family and adored her grandchildren.
