HANLEY, William Grant

May 25, 1942 - November 6, 2024. The Hanley family is saddened to announce the death of Bill, peacefully in hospice at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Mary Beth (nee Thompson), father of Dawn (Steve Redman), Kris (Mark Stadig), Steven (Theressa nee Flood) and Stacey (Greg Caines), grandfather of Alex, Brent, Nathan, Ben, Erin, Andrew, Laura, Constance and great-grandfather of Ruth and Norah. Predeceased by his brothers Ray and Gord, he is survived by his sisters Beverley and Nancy. Bill had a blessed childhood growing up on the family farm in Wareham surrounded by a loving family and a deep connection to the land and wildlife. He spent his working years building many of the houses in and around Collingwood and he was a member of New Life Church. We are immensely grateful to our mother for the extended care she provided for our father that allowed him to stay at home and in her presence. Visitation will be Thursday November 14 from 6-8 pm at Fawcett Funeral Home in Collingwood and the funeral service will be held Friday November 15 at 2 pm at New Life Church.
