HARE, Joan Louise

June 18, 1953 – May 7, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Hare share the news of her passing on May 7, 2024 at Campbell House Hospice, at the age of 70. Loving mother of Jenny (Joel) Adams, Bradley (Jennifer), and predeceased by daughter Rebecca (2014). Joan will be greatly missed by grandsons Joshua, Nathan, and Matthew Adams. Joan is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert Hare, and her parents Alvin and Pearl Hawton.  

Having lived her entire life in the Collingwood area, and with a passion for researching many family trees, Joan was like a living, history book of local families. Her lively nature and humorous wit will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Joan will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, 10 am, at Fawcett Funeral Home. The rememberance service will follow at Fawcett Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9th, 2024 at 11 am. Reception to follow her final resting place, at First Presbyterian Cemetery, Collingwood. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital or to Hospice Georgian Triangle - Campbell House.
