We sorrowfully announce the sudden passing of Rachelle Isabella Hood at home on July 2nd, 2024, at the age of 56.
Born to Margaret (Lawrie) and David Hood in Birmingham, England, she moved to Canada at the age of fifteen, settling with her parents in Collingwood. She enjoyed a life of travel growing up and went on to pursue her love for travel by becoming an experienced travel agent for over 35 years. Rachelle was a loving and devoted mother and raised her two children in Stayner. She reconnected with her longtime soulmate Rob Blakeman and settled together in Stayner to grow their lives.
Cherished and adored memories will live on with her devoted partner and best friend, Rob Blakeman. Her resilience and free-spirit passed down and lived on by her loving daughters, Alesha and Jaycee Gibson. Her fun, genuine nature will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her.
Rachelle was a family driven woman who was hard-working, honest and loyal to all. She was a feminist and equality driven. She is predeceased by her mother. She is survived and fondly remembered by her partner of many years, Rob, daughters Alesha (Noah) and Jaycee, father David, parents-in-law Jim and Carol, brother in law Patrick, sister Carla, niece and nephews, family and friends of many years. She will also be forever loved and missed by her adoring four-legged companion, Finn.
Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, July 11th, 2024, between 1-4pm, at the Collingwood Legion.
