HUNWICKS, Sue

Peacefully and surrounded by her family, our beloved mom, Sue Hunwicks, passed away from a brief and sudden illness on December 27, 2024, at the age of 77 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Matt, Michelle (Shan), and Morgan (Joanne), her grandchildren Theo, Oscar, and Matteo, her brother Jack (Marie), her sister Gay, Wayne, Anne, sister-in-law Sue, and nieces Debbie, Jennifer, Sara, and Kristy, as well as nephews David and Adam, the Chans, and the Kassams.

She will be dearly missed by her many friends from her days at Beaver Valley Community School and all the students she helped with her endless patience and kindness.

Her children will be forever grateful for her willingness to pick up the phone no matter what time of day or time zone they were in, for always putting them first, and for all the bendy after-school cookies, magical Christmases, and Sunday roast dinners. Everyone who had the honour and privilege of knowing her will miss her laugh, her bright spirit, and her famous butter tarts.
