It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Isobel Jardine (nee Hurst), who passed away at Huron Lodge in Windsor, Ontario in her 96th year, surrounded by her family.
Isobel is predeceased by her parents Alexander and Flora Hurst, her husband Alan (1990), and her children Alanna, Danny and Heather.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Larry), granddaughters Vanessa and Courtney (Barry), and her great grandson Hayden.
Isobel lived on the family farm on the Jardine Sideroad in Nottawasaga Township, for over 70 years welcoming friends, and neighbours in for a cup of tea and homemade baked goods. Family was very important to her, and she looked forward to every visit and every holiday, so that we could all be together. She loved her home, her flowers, and sending cards and letters to loved ones.
Isobel was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church in Collingwood, always offering her help whenever needed. She was also a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs for 63 years. A commitment she held dear to her heart.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Devonshire Retirement and most recently Huron Lodge in Windsor for their kind and loving care shown to her for the past 2 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation or the MS Society of Canada in her name.
Visitation will be held at Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 Maple Street, Collingwood on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 12 noon. Spring interment at the Presbyterian Cemetery.
