Crawford Howard Lyttle, golfer, skier, captain of the Chris-Craft Pemiskar died suddenly at home in his 95th year.
Crawford found a love of golf as a young teenager at the Briars Golf Club at Jackson’s Point. He later developed a big interest in skiing at Blue Mountain in the early years. Old cabins, old friends.
Beloved husband of Joyce for 45 years. Loving father of Yale (Ann), Tom (Debbie), stepchildren Mark Parrish (Katherine), Leslie Parrish, Michael Parrish (Michelle). Loving Poppy to Christi (Andre), Ryan (Grace), Evan, Dylan, Dustin (Karen), Corbin and Abby Parrish. Great grandchildren Sebastien & Alice Robitaille. Predeceased by parents Howard Francis Lyttle, mother Edith Elizabeth Coad, younger brother Ron Lyttle (Deb).
Crawford was educated in Toronto and attended McMaster University. He started his career in finance with Crown Life, then established a successful mortgage company, McNair and Lyttle.
Respecting his wishes there will be no formal funeral service, instead Crawford would like his memory celebrated at Georgian Peaks Ski Club in the spring where he was a GP 60 member and died an honorary member. “I’d like a nice party”, is what he always said. Donations in Crawford’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
