MACKISON, Jessie Sylvia “Jean” (nee McEachern)

It is with great sadness that we announce Jean’s passing on Monday June 24, 2024, in her 85th year at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce (August 2023). She will be deeply missed by her son Andrew (Nancy) and daughter Jennifer. Her cherished grandchildren Ashlyn and Owen will treasure their memory of her as their loving and spirited Grandma.

Jean was born November 27, 1939, in Collingwood, ON to parents Neil and Mary McEachern. She was predeceased by her brother David McEachern and sister Kathleen. She will be remembered fondly by her nieces Michelle, Barbara and Susan and nephews Neil, Noel and Terry and their families. Jean will also be missed by her dear friend Jennifer Gibson.

Jean will be remembered as a person who spoke her mind, always helped others and had a great sense of humour. She had a deep faith in God and was a dedicated member of All Saints Anglican Church and the Anglican Church Women.  

Jean will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her, she will never be forgotten.

A graveside service of remembrance will be held at All Saints Anglican Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday July 2, 2024 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House or Georgian Triangle Humane Society in Jean’s memory.
