Passed away peacefully at Barrie Manor on Sunday, September 4, 2022 in her 88th year.
Dorothy, of Wasaga Beach, was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Davis (2018). Loving mother of David (Lesley) and Darrell (Shirley). Cherished grandmother of Nicole, Hayley (Jesse), Gillian (Jordan), Stuart (Veronica), Jordyn and Braeden. Great-grandmother of Xander and Jaxan. Predeceased by her siblings: Meryl, Bill and Betty. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Dorothy was a long-time employee of the F.W. Woolworth Company and was an active member of the Bayshore, Prime Time and Probus Clubs.
She enjoyed mini golf and especially spending time with family and friends. Per Dorothy’s wishes, cremation will take place.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation at Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 11 a.m. for the memorial service at 12 noon. A reception will be held in the lower lounge followed by interment at Stayner Union Cemetery.
