Born at Collingwood April 25, 1929 Betty passed peacefully at home on Tuesday July 16, 2019 in her 91st year. Pre-deceased by her husband (Dalton 2004) and an infant (John Edgar). Betty is survived by John (Lisa) McEachern of Collingwood; Pat (Gerald) Potter of Cayuga and Lynda McEachern of Collingwood. She was blessed with four loving grandsons David (Marta) McEachern and Steven McEachern of Collingwood; Jason (Stephanie Yee) Potter and Tyler (Sarah Goertzen) Potter and a beautiful great-grand daughter Alison Rose Potter of Calgary Alberta.
Betty was a long-time member of the New Life Church (formerly Brethren In Christ) in Collingwood and a member of the Federated Women’s Institute of Ontario ‘where women work together for safe, healthy communities and pursue an enriched and balanced lifestyle’ for over 60 years . She served in various positions including Secretary and President of the Mrs. Alfred Watt Branch.
A life-long resident of Collingwood, Betty spent the last 14 years at The Galleries where she loved taking part in various social activities including bowling, bingo (one of her favourite past times), cards and teas. Betty will be sorely missed by her family, extended family as well as her many friends and acquaintances.
Visitation at Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Monday July 22nd, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Service at the New Life Church, 28 Tracey Lane, Collingwood on Tuesday July 23rd, 2019 at 2 pm.
Interment at Trinity United Cemetery following the service.
