Mary Isobel McKee (Stafford) passed away on Thursday February 13, 2025, at the age of 89.
She leaves behind her husband, Robert, her children Karen , Tom (Cindy), Sandra (Glenn), Chris (Meghan), and Laura, her grandchildren Ryan, Evan (Crystal), Brad (Sarah), Becky, Luke (Ashley), Kerri (Scott), Sophia, Quinn, Jourdan (Katelyen), Liam and Patience, and her great grandchildren, Nolyn, Kaley, Jack, Ben, Everleigh, Emelia, Eli and Ryelyne. Family was at the heart of her being. She will be deeply missed.
Isobel spent nearly 70 years as the devoted wife and counsel to Bob. Together, they built a thriving business, raised a family and lived life to the fullest. For many years, her Saturday nights were spent dancing the night away at Orr Lake, embraced by her beloved Bob. Always one for adventure, and armed with a camera, a host of suitcases, and Bob, she travelled the world. On their adventures, Isobel made life-long connections, drawing people in with her sense of humour, openness and love of life.
Isobel was an active member of many local organizations, including the Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club, PROBUS, Emmanuel Presbyterian Church and the Church of Christ. She cherished her community, her family, and her friends, and she loved them unconditionally.
Steadfast in her faith, yet habitually and endearingly late, few things kept her from Sunday service. Her unwavering belief in God gave her strength to face life fearlessly and with deep celebration. Ever resilient, “Whatever will be, will be,” was one of her favourite lines. To her, life was a gift, and she embraced every moment.
After a life well lived, Isobel has found her eternal reward. She made her last appointment on time.
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2
Good night, Isobel, you will be forever missed and fondly remembered.
With our deepest respect and gratitude, the family would like to thank the dedicated care team for the compassionate care Isobel received at Royal Victoria Hospital.
