PIKE, Terry Gene

On October 10, 2024, we said goodbye to our beloved Piker (Terry, Dad, Grampy). He had hoped for a hat trick miracle but it was not to be.

Terry Gene Pike, the youngest of 4 children (Jake, Doreen, Art), was born in Mount Forest on August 12, 1939 to Margaret (Pike/Fidler). His surviving brother, Art, resides in Penetang. Piker maintained his mother's positive attitude his entire life.

Marilyn (Culham, his wife of 59 years), his daughters, Alex (Steve Thuringer), and Cara, grandchildren Sasha, Kiki, Simon, and Avery, the extended Pike and Culham families and his many, many friends were the joys in his life.

Terry, a funny man and prankster, the life of every party, played every sport, enjoying the competition and camaraderie. His SITOA ski pals formed his inner circle throughout his life; his hockey friends in Niagara used hockey tournaments to travel Europe. More recently in Collingwood, he loved the rounds of golf with the members at BMGCC and the jitneys at CCC.

A community person, he helped to found the Fort Erie YMCA, coached sports teams, volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, and was a Kinsman.

Retiring in their 50's, Piker and Marilyn travelled far and wide, sightseeing, RVing, skiing and biking. Their love of music led them to world-wide jazz, blues, rock and roots' venues, grand and divey.

Piker's legacy to us all is to live life fully with love, fun and laughter. We hope you will raise a glass in his honour and find a way to work crazy hats and bow ties into your wardrobe in his memory.

Terry had a wonderful life. Thank you to all who helped make it so.

A memorial will be held for family members. Donations to Collingwood General & Marine Hospital or a charity of your choice would be a lovely tribute. Friends may visit Terry's online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
