PLEASANCE, William Cecil 'Willy'

Passed away peacefully on Feb. 9 in his 95th year, at the Sunset Manor Long Term Care Home in Collingwood Ontario, where he had been a resident since 2019. Born in Collingwood on Aug. 14, 1929, Willy was raised in Toronto as a young boy, lived in Malton and then Bolton for a time, before finally settling in Loretto Ontario in 1963, where he purchased a farm and raised his family. Willy was predeceased by his parents Gertrude (Spearing) and Frank Pleasance, his beloved wife Jane (Evans), and his sister Mary Louise Denning. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Sandra (Jim), his sons Randy (Joan) and Rick (Peggy), his grandchildren Steve, Mike, Jason, Andrew and Kevin, and his many great grandchildren. The family wishes to express its immense gratitude for the wonderful care and kindness Willy received from the staff at Sunset Manor during his stay. Following cremation, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Fawcett Funeral Home - Collingwood Chapel.
