The family of Doug Smith are sad to announce his sudden passing on January 9, 2025, at his home in Florida in his 77th year.
He is deeply loved by his wife of 49 years, Sheila and their sons Sean (Shannae) and Jeff (Haley). His granddaughter Kensie will treasure the memory of him as her kind, and fun-loving grandpa.
Doug was born in Toronto to parents Ralph and Dorothy Smith. He is survived by his brother Steve (Janet) Smith.
Doug had a gift for making those around him feel loved; he always had a smile on his face and a gentle kindness that put people at ease. Doug’s love, wisdom, and spirit will live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
