Died peacefully at her home on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the age of 83.
Daphne, of Wasaga Beach was the beloved wife of the late Anthony” Tony” Spearing for 60 years. Loving mother of Philip, David (Jenn), and Steven (Lynn). She is a cherished grandmother of Liam, Michael, Nicole, Matthew, Stephanie, Samantha, Katelyn, Alexandra and Alicia, as well as a great-grandmother of nine. Daphne will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends.
Daphne was a warm and caring soul. She rose early to prepare for the day so that when an opportunity for adventure came, she would be ready. She loved being “out and about”, whether for coffee or lunch with a friend, or simply a drive alone Beach 1. She will be deeply missed.
Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Thursday, February 27, 2025 for visitation at 12 noon for the service in the chapel at 1 o’clock. Reception to follow at the Bayshore Seniors’ Club.
