STICKLEY, Gladys Louise (nee Sollenberger)

Passed away peacefully in her 98th year December 9, 2024. Predeceased by her husband Harvey Stickley, daughter Tammy and son in law Ken, baby girls Cheryl, Shirley and Sharon. Each went to be with the Lord within the first year of their lives. Forever loved by her son Tim, daughter in law Paula and grandchildren. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Gladys grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania. She attended a one room country school with her brothers and sister. Later she attended Messiah Academy where she completed high school. When she was graduating with the commercial course, Niagara Christian College (NCC) invited her as secretary-bookkeeper to replace the one leaving, which she accepted.

Arriving at NCC, Harvey Stickley was also serving there. This clearly was designed by God, for two years later they were married. Together they served as Pastor and wife to church congregations throughout the years.

A Celebration of Gladys' life will be held at Heritage Community Church, 310 Seventh Street, Collingwood on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2 o'clock with visitation one hour prior.
