Died peacefully on Sunday January 12, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 57. Scott, loving son of Dawn and Howard Truax. Cherished brother of Sheila and Elaine (David Corris). Unforgettable uncle of Jordan Pawlak.

Scott had a unique spirit and adventurous side, he embraced life with a fearless attitude that often led him on daring escapades. Despite his thrill-seeking nature, Scott had a gentle demeanour; he rarely raised his voice and was never unkind. He had a remarkable ability to listen—a quiet presence that made you feel heard even if he didn’t always share his thoughts. His laughter had a unique way of warming every room, radiating a comfort that made those around him feel at ease.

Though he sometimes felt overlooked in conversations, it was often because we were eager to share our own stories, unaware of the depths he carried within. His love for us was palpable, and it was clear how much he appreciated each of us in his silent way.

Scott had a passion for anything that could go fast—motorcycles, go-carts, racing cars, and snowmobiles. There was an undeniable joy in his eyes whenever he was behind the wheel as if he truly found his sense of freedom and happiness in those moments.

As we gather to remember him, let us hold onto the spirit of adventure he embodied and the warmth of his presence that will always remain in our hearts.

Private family arrangements under the direction of the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home. A public celebration will be held in the spring, details to follow. If desired, a donation to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by Scott’s family. To sign his Book of Memories, please visit www.carruthersdavidson.com
