January 8, 1951 - July 17, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Raymond “Bruce” Tupling. Bruce passed away on Wednesday July 17, 2024 after nine months of courageously navigating his way through metastatic colon cancer.

Bruce grew up in Toronto, graduated from the University of Guelph, spent the majority of his adult life in Stayner and then spent the last five years living in Orillia. Bruce passed away at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital and even though his death came quicker than we expected, the care and compassion that he received from the nurses and Dr. Armstrong in the emergency department will forever be appreciated.

Bruce is survived by his two daughters, Becky (Mark) and Paige (Jason), his granddaughter, Jorja, his sister Gayle and his sister Carol (Peter). Bruce lost his eldest son, Elijah in 2008 and his daughters can rest easy knowing that the two of them will finally be reunited. Bruce had a very special friend, Chris, who took such good care of him in his final months and his daughters are so very thankful.

Bruce was a man of many hobbies, interests and passions, be it reading, hunting, fishing, boating, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Bruce was a good dad, good brother, good friend, and good neighbour and he will be forever missed.

As per his final wishes, cremation has taken place and he will rest with his parents at the Honeywood Cemetery. A come and go celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.  To sign Bruce’s Book of Memories, please visit www.carruthersdavidson.com
