Varley, Ronald passed away suddenly at home on Saturday November 2, 2024, at the age of 59.

Ron was predeceased by the love of his life Peggy (nee Miller). He will be remembered as the proud and loving father of the late Travis Miller, Melissa Neil, Donald (Bobbie-Jo) Boxall-Varley, Candace Varley (Teddy), Melisha Neil (Ali), Shaneisha Hazelwood-Neil, Ayla West-Neil and Aliyah West-Neil. His grandchildren Kyle, Dominic, Nadia, Amika, Aislynn, Clayton and Zayne and great grandsons Kyrie and Zyon will cherish their memories of him and their fun-loving Papa.

Born in Collingwood to parents Ben Varley and the late June Varley (nee Skinner). He is survived by his brothers David and Paul and sister Cheryl; predeceased by sister Sherry.

Ron earned his success from being honest, hard work and perseverance. He did not have any formal education but was a smart businessman who was well respected amongst his peers and employees.

Those who knew him described him as a good man, with a kind and welcoming heart and someone who was willing to help anyone who asked. He was stubborn and direct; you always knew where you stood with him. He had a great sense of humour, loved to share jokes with his family, a smile that made others smile and a contagious laugh.

Family was everything to Ron. He was always there to support and encourage his children and grandchildren growing up. As they entered their own careers, he was a sounding board and provider of advice. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.

There is a hole in the hearts of his family, but they have comfort knowing he is reunited with his beloved Peggy, and they are starting their next adventure.

A funeral service will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Thursday November 14, 2024, at 12 p.m. with visitation one hour prior.  A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Ron’s memory.
