R.N., O.O., born Westville, Pictou County, NS, March 20, 1933 - passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 22, 2020.  Beloved wife of the late Rev. Dr. Douglas Alfred Wilson. Dear Mother of Margaret Joyce Wilson Agnew (Douglas); Ervin Curtis; Richard Douglas (Laura), loving grandmother of Brent (Pinka); Mark; Caitlyn (John); Jeremy (Mackenzie); Alexander. Much-loved sister of Mary (William) Fraser, and the late Donald (Betty), Arthur (Sharon) and Ann MacDougall. Proud “auntie Bell” of Andrew, Maryl, Glynis and David Fraser. Isabel was a gold medalist at Old Aberdeen Hospital School of Nursing in New Glasgow. After her marriage in 1954 to Doug, they lived in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, Trenton and Collingwood, Ontario. Isabel was always at the heart of her church and community, volunteering, working and spreading her strength and friendship. She was awarded a Canadian Citizenship award, the Order of Ontario and the Order of Collingwood as an exemplary citizen. She will be lovingly remembered for her kindness to everyone, her generosity and thoughtfulness, her curiosity about life and people, her humility and of course, her legendary baking. Isabel will be missed but not mourned, she will be remembered but not grieved, she will be loved but not forgotten. A private service will be held in September.  Interment at Collingwood Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses or the Children’s Ministries, First Presbyterian Church, Collingwood.
