GREY HIGHLANDS - On Aug. 31, 2018 at 2:33 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident at a farm property on 3rd Concession in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. Grey County Paramedic Services and Southgate Dundalk Fire Department assisted.
The incident involved farm machinery equipment that was being operated by the occupant of the farm. A four-year-old male suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance but succumbed to his injuries.
On Oct. 20, 2018 Grey County OPP Crime Unit charged the equipment operator, 32-year-old male, Emanuel Bauman of Grey Highlands with Causing Death by Criminal Negligence section 220(b) of Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused will have his first court appearance in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on Nov. 22, 2018.
