WATERLOO REGION, ONT. – WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit have charged the driver of a transport truck involved in a collision in Kitchener.

On July 15, 2024, at approximately 11:06 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a transport truck and a pedestrian at Fairway Road South and Wilson Avenue.

On July 17, 2024, a 39-year-old Grey County male was charged with careless driving. 

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have been in the area at the time and has dashcam footage is encouraged to call police at 519-570-9777.

WATERLOO REGION, ONT. – WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit is investigating a serious collision in Kitchener.

On July 15, 2024, at approximately 11:06 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a transport truck and a pedestrian at Fairway Road South and Wilson Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 19-year-old female from Waterloo, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The transport truck in question failed to remain at the scene and left the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
