Huronia West OPP are looking for this motorcyclist following a failure-to-remain crash on County Road 27 in Springwater Township. Police say the incident happened July 8, 2024.

Huronia West OPP are trying to track down a motorcycle rider who was allegedly involved in a fail-to-remain collision on County Road 27 in Springwater Township earlier this month.

Police say the crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Monday, July 8 near Flos Road 4, north of Barrie in the Fergusonvale area.

"A northbound motorcycle is alleged to have cut off a car while passing them in the same direction," OPP stated in a news release. "This caused the car to go off the road to avoid striking the motorcycle."

Police say the driver of the car sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for assessment.

However, police say the motorcycle operator failed to remain at the scene.

The suspect has been described as operating a red "Cruiser"-style motorcycle and was wearing black clothing, a black helmet and carrying a brown backpack.

Anyone with information that could help identify the motorcycle driver is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or by visiting www.crimestopperssdm.com.
