Police at Worsley school all day after 'false threats'

Police say officers investigated and determined there was no threat to public safety

Area police officers were at Worsley Public School all day following threats made against the school. 

According to a news release from Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), a threat was made and the principal called the police on Feb. 14 at 9:31 a.m. 

"Officers attended the school while an investigation was conducted. It was determined through a thorough investigation that the allegations were false and there was no threat to public safety," stated the OPP news release. "Worsley Public School did not go into lockdown as officers remained on scene throughout the day to ensure the safety of students and faculty."
