A traffic stop in Meaford last month resulted in charges against a York Region resident.
In a news release issued Friday, Grey Bruce OPP said its officers and officials from the Ministry of Transportation stopped a commercial vehicle on Sykes Street South at 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 6.
Police said the driver was found to be in possession of stolen property.
Provincial Constable Nicholas Wilson said the stolen items were generally vehicle accessories.
As a result, a 40-year-old has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, driving while failing to display two plates, and using a plate that was not authorized for the vehicle.
The accused was released and has a future court date in Owen Sound.
