A respite care service is available that allows patients to stay at Campbell House for up to two weeks to give home caregivers relief. Hospice also offers group and individual grief and bereavement support for families and loved ones.

For the past two years, most of the Foundation’s events were virtual, and this year the Hike & Bike fundraiser, will be in-person.

During the pandemic, the staff and volunteers continued to provide services.

Since April 2021, 243 people have stayed in Cambell House including 40 respite visits. There have been 144 group sessions and 915 group participants. Hospice has also provided 1,859 community visits.

Sandra Sullivan, the Executive Director at the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation, says,“The programs focus on the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of patients, families, caregivers, and enhancing the quality of life for all those groups.”

“The last two years of the pandemic were challenging for patients and their families, dealing with many lockdowns and government regulations. However, the Hospice staff provided excellent care and managed to expand their outreach through community programs,” she added.

She also appreciated more than a hundred volunteers that help at the Hospice, from helping in the kitchen, supporting patients, community groups, walking groups, reception desk, etc.
