Visitors to the Craigleith area will encounter construction work on local roads.

This week, the Town of The Blue Mountains advised the public of upcoming construction activity on Monterra Road in Craigleith from Grey Road 19 to 200 metres east of Grand Cypress Lane.

Cox Construction Limited will be resurfacing approximately 875 metres of Monterra Road. Work will include a new seven metre wide road surface and a 1.2 metre wide paved shoulder on the north side of the road for a portion of the road section.

Sewer maintenance holes and valve chamber chimneys will be rebuilt and guide rail cable posts will be replaced along with other miscellaneous work.

This work is expected to be ongoing until mid to late August 2024. Monterra Road will remain open, but alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers will be in place at times.
