The local region’s largest job fair is returning to the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound on Thursday, Feb. 20.

For those who are job seekers looking to meet with employers from across the area, this event is not to be missed. The job fair will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Some of the registered employers include local hospitals and healthcare providers, long-term care and assisted living, golf courses, bus companies, municipalities, contractors, food service and hospitality, and many more. Employers can still register for a booth online here, but space is limited.

“The regional job fair attracts a variety of employers recruiting for a range of positions and is a great way for job seekers to meet face to face with employers and make an impression,” said Steve Furness, Grey County’s Manager of Economic Development. “If you’re looking for a job or are considering a change, the Regional Job Fair is a great opportunity to discover what careers are currently available throughout the region.”

Job seekers are not required to register in advance for the fairs but are encouraged to come prepared and bring copies of their resumes.

Those looking for support with developing their resume or improving their interviewing skills can contact YMCA Employment Services by calling 519-371-9222 or email [email protected] to schedule an appointment. Services are available in person at the Owen Sound and Hanover offices. Remote services by phone, text, email and virtually are also available.
