Shoreline repairs underway at Little River Beach Park

The estimated cost of the work is $15,000

Repairs are underway at the Town of the Blue Mountains' (TBM) Little River Beach Park.

Little River Beach Park has been closed since the on-set of the COVID-19 pandemic and will remain closed until shoreline repairs have been completed.

Construction crews were on-site on Monday morning, working to repair the park's shoreline protection that had been damaged by high water conditions.

The town has stated repairs will be made as soon as possible and notice of reopening will be posted to the newsroom on the town website.

Town staff presented TBM council with a report outlining plans to restore the area in mid-June.

According to the staff report, repair work will include repositioning the current rocks, adding additional rocks, repairing the border along the waterfront side of the playground, replacing and relocating nine concrete bench pads, clean up of gravel and rocks along the length of the property and general landscaping.

The project is estimated to cost $15,000.
