The Town of The Blue Mountains is encouraging residents, local service clubs and community groups to submit a nomination for the Province of Ontario Senior of the Year Award.
Established in 1994, the Senior of the Year Award honours one outstanding local senior in each municipality in Ontario. The nominee must be over the age of 65 and have enriched the social, cultural or civic life of the community. Seniors who qualify for this award may have contributed to any number of fields such as the arts, literature, community service, volunteering, education, environment, fitness and humanitarian activities.
To be considered for the award, all nominations must be submitted to the Town Clerk by Friday, March 24, 2023, at noon. To submit a nomination, please contact the Town Clerk using the information below:

The Town of The Blue Mountains Council will consider the nominations at the March 27, 2023, closed session Council Meeting. The selected nomination will be sent to the Province following the meeting. If the nomination criteria are met, a certificate will be provided by the Province of Ontario and presented to the honorary recipient by Mayor Matrosovs and Council.
