The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that Adam Smith has been appointed by Council as the Acting Chief Administrative Officer, effective Friday, January 10, 2025.
This follows the extended leave of Chief Administrative Officer Shawn Everitt for an undetermined period of time.
Smith has been with the Town since 2022 as the Director of Planning and Development Services. During this time, he has played an integral role in leading the planning and development portfolio and continues to support the Town through stable leadership, strategic planning and innovation.
“On behalf of Council, I would like to offer my gratitude and appreciation to Adam for his commitment and dedication to the Town in accepting this acting role,” explained Mayor Andrea Matrosovs. “With his collaborative approach and dedication to the community, he has already made a considerable impact, and Town Council looks forward to continued progress under his leadership.”
