CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Meet Coconut, the first Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) pet of the week of 2023.
Coconut is a six-month-old female puppy who is looking for a loving home to call her own. She gets very excited when she meets new people as she tends to jump up to meet you — she is working on keeping all her paws on the ground. Because she loves to jump, the GTHS team recommends a home with older kids.
While she is still a pup, she will likely grow into a good-sized dog, so space, time and patience will be needed for Coconut. She is proving to be a smart girl as she is learning basic commands. She enjoys going for walks, but her new family should work with her on her loose-leash walking. Lots of fun exercises and puppy classes for her are recommended.
