Last Wednesday, Sunset Point Beach was abuzz with laughter, conversation, and the savoury aroma of barbecue as over 70 participants gathered for a special
evening.

The event, organized by Chabad Collingwood, was more than just a chance to enjoy good food; it was a celebration of unity and resilience.

The gathering was highlighted by the presence of the boys from Eilat, who are part of the Toronto - Eilat Fellowship Junior JCC Maccabi Basketball Team. Their attendance was made possible through the efforts of dedicated organizers, who arranged for them to visit Collingwood.

The boys shared poignant reflections on their experiences since Oct. 7, offering the community a glimpse into their lives and the challenges they have faced. Their stories were met with heartfelt responses from attendees, who were deeply moved by the boys' resilience and strength.

The event served not only as a social gathering but also as an opportunity for the community to come together in solidarity and support. Attendees expressed their gratitude for the chance to reconnect with one another and welcome the guests from Eilat.

It was a wonderful evening that reminded us of the importance of coming together, especially during challenging times.

As the sun set and the evening came to a close, attendees left with full hearts and a renewed sense of community. The event was a testament to the strength and unity of the Collingwood Jewish community, and a promise of more such gatherings in the future.
