On Saturday, June 23, 2018, the Georgian Triangle Humane Society was pleased to host the 16th Annual Furball Gala: A Night Among the Stars. With over 180 passionate community members in attendance, the Alpine Ski Club provided a stunning venue for an evening filled with good food, fun, and a shared love of animals.

Highlights of the evening included an outstanding display of live/silent auction items. an inspiring speech by Sonya Reichel that had everyone wiping away tears, a unique Wall of Wine Raffle, delicious food by Men with Knives, and entertainment by band Switchbeat who kept guests dancing until the early morning.

The Furball Gala was generously supported by donors, community members, and local businesses raising over $70,000!

All proceeds raised will go to support the over one thousand animals that turn to the Georgian Triangle Humane Society in need each year - from feeding and taking care of kittens, until they find their forever homes, to providing emergency medical care to the animals who so desperately require our help.

"We feel so incredibly thankful to our community for their outpouring of love and generosity. The Gala was an amazing event and we could not have done it without everyone's passion and commitment to the work that we do, " says Abigail Krogman, Fundraising Coordinator at the Georgian Triangle Humane Society.

The Georgian Triangle Humane Society would like to thank all the individuals who helped make the 16th Annual Furball Gala a success. Thank you to the event volunteers, the Furball Committee, and thank you to our title sponsors: OslerBrook Golf and Country Club, Lifestyles North, Sutherland Insurance, and Royal Canin.
