Weather advisory issued for:
   Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region, Ont. 
   Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale, Ont. 
   Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County, Ont. 
   Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus, Ont. 

Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect today.

What:
Reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Local snowfall accumulations up to 5 cm.

When:
Now into this evening.

Additional information:
Lake effect snow has developed again to the lee of Georgian Bay. Along with northwest winds gusting up to 70 km/h, this is resulting in poor visibility in bands of heavy snow and areas of blowing snow. Reduced visibility will be the main concern. Snowfall accumulations are not expected to be significant as the bands move around. The snow bands are expected to weaken or move out of the area tonight.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
