Blue Mountain Village Foundation (BMVF) knows that there are great challenges in the South Georgian Bay Community, with increasing demands on families, heath-care teams, essential workers, businesses and our local charitable organizations.
The BMVF is thrilled to announce that we have provided financial assistance to successful grant recipients on Feb. 26 at Blue Mountain Village.
Local organizations submitted grant requests outlining the projects and programs they were implementing to magnify impact in our community and as a result of applications received, we are proud to announce the granting of $37,500 awarded to the following 10 successful registered charities:
- Breaking Down Barriers - Plugged-IN to Seniors
- Elephant Thoughts - Mobile Soup Kitchen
- Home Horizon - Youth Outreach program
- My Friend's House - Healthy Meals program
- Canadian Mental Health Association - Suicide Prevention Training
- Living Better with Parkinson’s - Parkinson's Festival
- Marsh Street Community Centre - Senior Wellness program
- Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka - Outreach Expansion project
- Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions - Camp Program 2025
- Magic of Children in the Arts - Meaford expansion
The Blue Mountain Village Foundation exists to close social gaps in our community, supporting local charitable organizations located in South Georgian Bay, including Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Stayner, Town of the Blue Mountains, Meaford, Duntroon, Singhampton, Kimberley and Creemore.
We raise funds through our annual golf tournament as well as other events and activities. Since our inception over 20 years ago, we have raised more than $2 million that has been invested back into our community to support meaningful and necessary programs and services. We achieve our objectives through advocacy, fundraising, program delivery and effective marketing and communication.
On behalf of our fundraising team and partners, our board of directors, staff and all members of the Blue Mountain Village community, we extend a sincere THANK YOU to all local service agencies, and essential service teams who are going above and beyond to support this community.
Funding and bursary information can be obtained via BMVF’s website here.
