MAD RIVER BAND

Mad River, a Collingwood/Duntroon band, have entered a new original song Body & Soul in the CBC Searchlight Music Contest.
“Searchlight is CBC Music’s long-running hunt for Canada’s undiscovered musical talent, judged by a combination of audience voting (by the public) and a panel of celebrity judges, who represent a cross-section of the best that the Canadian music industry has to offer." (CBC Searchlight)
Neill Lanz, Craig Smith and Rick Garner have been enjoying the journey of creating original music, in Mad River Studio, Duntroon. Their first album, Swamp Music, was released in the Spring of 2017 (madrivermusic.ca). Mad River are currently recording a second album to be released this Spring 2019, featuring the song Body & Soul.
”This Canada-wide music contest is a great opportunity for us to share our music and get it out there,” said Lanz.
The band resides in Duntroon and Collingwood. Bandmates John Hall and Michael Donovan live in Wasaga Beach and Collingwood respectively.
Voting begins Feb. 5 and runs for 10 days. Fans can cast a vote for Mad River once per day.
