Collingwood asks for input on town-wide speed limit review

Public survey closes July 26
RaglanStreet
Collingwood Councillor Deb Doherty raised a resident request for traffic calming on Raglan Street where there are multiple senior residences.

The Town of Collingwood is asking for input on speed limits for local roads as part of a master plan for transportation.

The speed limit review will compile traffic data from residential streets and collector roads, and will also include feedback from residents who live on those streets.

It's part of the master mobility and transportation plan, which will include a safety screening of all roads in town including collision history, road design and road hazards.

The online survey will be open until July 26 on the town's Engage Collingwood website. Hard copies of the survey are available at town hall.

will be part of the master mobility and transportation plan.

The Town of Collingwood is conducting a Speed Limit Review, to ensure all multi-modal road users can provide input on how they feel the Town can enhance their road travel experience.

Members of town council and town staff will also be at the Collingwood Farmers' Market on July 6 to talk with anyone interested about the speed limit review. An open house will be scheduled later this summer.

The review is slated to wrap up by late 2024 with results and recommendations headed to council in early 2025.
