Collingwood Colts won one and lost one this weekend in two away games.

Friday night the Colts were victorious over the Pickering Panthers in a 3-1 game, which brought the Colt’s winning streak up to four games.

According to a game report submitted by the Colts, Pickering jumped out to an early lead in the first five minutes of the game, but Collingwood tied the game quickly with a goal by rookie forward Vladislav Dvurechenskii, with an assist from Rocco Testa-Basi and Christian Taylor.

Collingwood native Eric Lalond (assisted by Patrick Brown and Adrian Nabuurs) scored in the second, and Payton Schaly scored the final goal in the third period with an assist from Tyler Ignazitto and Adrian Nabuurs.

Goaltender Andrew Rose earned his seventh win turning aside 26 of 27 shots faced.

The Panthers will be looking for revenge this weekend with two games against Collingwood on the Colts' home ice.

The Colts lost a close game to the Oakville Blades on Saturday with a final score of 2-1 for Oakville.

Collingwood did take the lead in the first with another weekend goal by Payton Schaly (assisted by Christian Taylor and Mason Piercey), but the Blades responded with two, taking the lead in the third and holding on for the win.

The Collingwood Colts have three back-to-back home games this weekend at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena starting Friday night when they host the Markham Royals at 7:30 p.m.

The Friday game will also be raising funds for the Collingwood Minor Hockey Association. A portion of all tickets purchased online under the promo code CMHA, will be put into a draw for free registration in minor hockey next year. Every kid in attendance at the game has a chance to win.

The Colts will host the Pickering Panthers on Saturday at 8:30 p.m., with ticket proceeds on Saturday supporting the Collingwood Girls Hockey Association (use promo code: lightning) and Connaught Public School (use promo code: Connaught).

The Panthers return on Sunday to the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena for a 2 p.m. game against the Colts.
