Below are five area events among the many happening this weekend:

Family Day in Collingwood

The Town of Collingwood will be host to multiple events over the course of the Family Day weekend. Open swim will take place at the Centennial Aquatic Centre from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Feb. 17. On Feb. 19, there will be free public skating at the Central Park Arena from 1 to 2:20 p.m. inside the arena, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the outdoor rink, weather permitting. The Collingwood Museum will be free to attend on Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well.

Family Day in Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain Resort will be host to Family Day weekend fun, with live music, extended activity hours, early morning fresh tracks and family-friendly fun.

Glacial Erratic at Black Bellows

On Feb. 16 from 7 to 11 p.m., Glacial Erratic will be taking the stage at Black Bellows. This banjo-funk-with-horns-and-a-guitar-soloing-virtuoso comedy rock dance outfit has been called “A party on stage."

Night at the Comedy Club/Winter Beer and Cider Fest

The Collingwood Brewery will be host to a comedy show on Feb. 16 from 9 to 10:30 p.m., with the Winter Beer and Cider Fest running Feb. 17 from 12 to 6 p.m.

Seminar Series for Seniors

The Seminar Series for Seniors continues at the Leisure Time Club on Feb. 17 from 12 to 3 p.m., with this week’s topic being Tax Time and Financial Planning. Seminars are free to attend.
