On New Year’s Eve, you can ride the town bus for free all night.
Colltrans service will be free from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
The free service is part of an amended holiday schedule.
On Christmas Eve, buses for Colltrans and the Blue Mountain Link stop running at 9 p.m.
On Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and New Year’s Day (Jan 1), there are no town buses, but the Blue Mountain Link will run from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Town facilities will also have an altered schedule over the holidays. Town hall and the Business Development Centre will be closing early (noon) on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and will be closed Dec. 25, 26, 28, and 29, and Jan. 1. Both will be open Dec. 27, and 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Municipal offices on the third floor of the Collingwood Public Library building will be closing at noon on Dec. 24 and will remain closed until Jan. 2.
Collingwood Museum will be closed Dec. 23, 25, 26, 29, and 30, and Jan 1. The museum will be open 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 24, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 28, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 2.
The Collingwood Public Library will be closing early Dec. 24 at 1 p.m. and will remain closed for Dec. 25 and 26. The library will resume regular hours Dec. 27-30, and will be closing at 1 p.m. on Dec. 31, remaining closed on Jan. 1.
Centennial Aquatic Centre, Eddie Bush Memorial Arena, and Central Park Arena will close at noon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and will be closed Dec. 25, 26, and Jan 1.
Essential and emergency services (including police, fire, bylaw, and snow plowing) will continue to operate through the holidays.
Town services and facilities will return to normal schedule on Jan. 2.
