Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) invites high school students from across South Georgian Bay to step into their future and explore careers in healthcare.
On Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m., students, along with their parents and caretakers, are invited to CGMH’s hospital career information night – an interactive evening that will showcase the many dynamic and rewarding career paths available right here in our community.
This event gives students the opportunity to explore a wide range of exciting healthcare careers. It will feature presentations and interactive demonstrations from healthcare professionals in CGMH’s nursing, physiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, respiratory therapy, laboratory services, and pharmacy departments, offering valuable insights and answering questions about their fields.
“We’re excited to have students from across South Georgian Bay join us to explore the many career opportunities available locally in healthcare,” says Michael Lacroix, CGMH president and CEO. “With a new hospital on the horizon, even more opportunities will be available by the time you’re ready to join the workforce. The hospital career information night is a great opportunity for you to ask questions, learn from healthcare professionals, and see how you could make a lasting impact in this rewarding field.”
In addition to these presentations, representatives from CGMH volunteer services, human resources, and Georgian College will be on-site to offer guidance on volunteer opportunities, education pathways, and next steps toward a career in healthcare
