CLEARVIEW TWP. – On Thursday, Oct. 3, the sixth-annual Small Halls Festival, a Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO) Top 100 Event since 2017, kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with Canadian Folk Music Award Winner Ken Yates accompanied by wine tasting and charcuterie at the Singhampton Community Centre.
Taking place from Oct. 3 to 6, the Small Halls Festival features 27 exciting events. Enjoy local food and drink at events such as the Local Cider & Food Pairing Oct. 4 with Sommelier Andre Derrick, Get to Know Your Beer with a qualified Cicerone, celebrate OktoberFEAST complete with music, full Octoberfest menu and one-of-a-kind beer steins, or experience live theatre with your meal at the Murder Mystery Night or The Drawer Boy – A Staged Reading, all taking place on Oct. 5.
Also, don’t miss Taste of the Township on Oct. 6 for bite-size samples of local fare.
There are many all-ages events for families to enjoy throughout the festival as well. Watch the hilariously entertaining Magician ‘Graemazing’ at The Friendly Magic Show Oct. 4, unleash your inner Rockstar at Good Enough Live Karaoke Oct. 5 or take in a new way to do Improv at Monkey Toast Improv, a six-time Canadian Comedy Award-winning show on Oct. 6.
A festival staple, check out the live music events, including the talented multi-instrumentalist Jamie Williams on Oct. 4, and Alberta Country Music Awards Group of the Year, Nice Horse with opening acts Kansas Stone, a fan favourite and local rising star Dayna Reid on Oct. 5.
