Weather advisory issued for:
   Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale, Ont. 
   Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County, Ont.

Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect.

Hazards:
Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of 5 to 10 cm.
Reduced visibility in snow and blowing snow.

Timing:
Continuing through this afternoon.

Discussion:
Lake effect snow off Georgian Bay will continue to affect the region through this afternoon.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
