The following letter to the editor was submitted to CollingwoodToday by reader Lorna Shackell:

I truly believe that there should be the opportunity for anyone who wants to mark a ballot. Many seniors do not use computers and do not feel comfortable. You can make online voting available as well for the computer savvy but do not forget the seniors.

We live in The Galleries. Three town employees came and spent time here helping seniors to vote. That was a total waste of money for the town. If there was a place for them to go and mark their ballot, it would have been cheaper and they would know that their vote counted.

I know several who came out wondering if it really worked. These people have voted the same way for decades. Don't forget them.
