BLUE MOUNTAIN FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS

The Murray J. Clerkson Committee is now accepting submissions for this year’s
award. The award is presented to a talented emerging artist who resides in the South Georgian Bay region. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize. The winner and four finalists will be featured in either a virtual exhibit or a show in the Press Room Gallery located at 65 Simcoe St. The date of a possible exhibit
in the gallery space is TBD.
Murray was a well-known local artist, eccentric with a dramatic flair in his own art. Throughout his career, he strongly supported new and emerging artists by investing in their work and freely and positively commenting on their achievements. The Conning family of Collingwood has generously donated the funds to continue this award in Murray’s name for a three-year period.
Entries will accepted until Thursday, June 25th at 5 p.m.
