Ribbon cut to reopen Centennial Aquatic Centre

The pool was closed for the summer for tile installation

On Saturday, Oct. 1, town staff and council, with representatives from pool user groups cut the ribbon to officially reopen the Centennial Aquatic Centre.

Centennial was closed this summer for work to install a tile base along the bottom and sides of the pool. The pool opened this week and the town is planning a public ribbon cutting and grand reopening of the pool on Saturday.

The town received $394,000 from the Community Building Fund grant from the government of Ontario and the Ontario Trillium Foundation to tile the pool.
