The Town of Collingwood has released some details from the latest agreement made with the Collingwood Blues Junior A hockey team.

Following an emergency closed session council meeting on Thursday morning, Mayor Yvonne Hamlin announced the town and Blues reached a 10-year tenancy agreement, keeping the team at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena for the next ten years, with an option to renew for another 10 years.

According to a news release issued by the town on Friday afternoon, the town will receive 30 per cent of the advertising revenue made from selling ads at both Eddie Bush Memorial Arena and Central Park Arena, starting at "about $38,000" per year. The town stated the ad revenue will grow according to the consumer price index, at minimum, each year.

"Provisions have been made to ensure the continuation of allocating ice time to other user groups during the Blues non-prime hours where practical and with notice," states the town's news release.

The final detail noted by the town is that main floor concessions will be made available to other user groups upon request.
