Weather advisory issued for:

  •    Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
  •    Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  •    Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County

Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect for early this evening through tonight.

Hazards:
Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 5 to 10 cm.

Timing:
Early this evening through tonight.

Discussion:
Snow is expected to intensify early this evening as the winds shift to northwesterly. The snow will taper to scattered flurries early Friday morning.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
